Tory whip Chris Pincher resigns after 'embarrassing himself' and 'drinking too much'

The UK government's deputy chief whip has sent his resignation letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Chris Pincher confirmed he would be resigning after "drinking too much" and "'embarrassing himself and others".

In his resignation letter, dated today, Pincher apologised and said he he owed it the people he had upset to resign.
