A failed Tory leadership candidate has hit out at Nicola Sturgeon saying independence will fail if she seeks to use "hatred and division" in her campaign.
Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt took aim at the First Minister and fellow independence supporters after the SNP leader said she 'detested' Tories.
Speaking on the Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg show Sturgeon said would prefer a Labour government in Westminster to the Conservatives, noting: "I detest the Tories and everything they stand for."
