Torri Huske, the talented American swimmer, added another medal to her collection at the 2024 Paris Olympics. On Wednesday, she secured a silver medal in the women's 100-meter freestyle event, narrowly missing out on the gold by a mere thirteen hundredths of a second.
The unexpected winner of the race was Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden, who holds the current world record for the 100-meter freestyle. Despite not being the favorite at the start of the final, Sjostrom displayed an impressive performance and clinched the gold medal in the closing moments of the race.
This latest silver medal marks Huske's third podium finish at the Paris Olympics. Prior to her success in the 100-meter freestyle, the 21-year-old swimmer had already contributed to Team USA's medal tally by winning silver in the women's 4x100-meter freestyle relay and claiming an individual gold in the women's 100-meter butterfly event.
