A new tornado watch has been issued for more than 12 million people across central and southern Florida until 9 pm EDT due to the impact of Hurricane Milton. This watch includes major cities such as Tampa, Miami, Cape Coral, and Key West.
The Storm Prediction Center has warned that supercells in the outer rain bands of Hurricane Milton are likely to create conditions conducive to the formation of tornadoes throughout the day across the central and southern Florida Peninsula.
