Tornado Emergency In Barnsdall, Oklahoma: Destructive Storm Hits City

Tornadoes hit towns in Oklahoma

A destructive tornado has been reported in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, prompting a tornado emergency issued by the National Weather Service. The city, located about 40 miles north of Tulsa, is currently experiencing severe damage due to the powerful storm.

Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management spokesperson Keli Cain confirmed the reports of damage in Barnsdall, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. The same storm had previously caused chaos in the city of Hominy, where residents were warned of a large and extremely dangerous tornado.

The National Weather Service office in Tulsa issued a dire warning to residents in the affected areas, stating that they are in a life-threatening situation. The potential for flying debris to cause harm to those without shelter is high, with mobile homes at risk of destruction. Significant damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is expected, with the possibility of complete destruction.

The storm is forecasted to continue moving northeast, potentially impacting Bartlesville, a city with a population of over 35,000 people. Residents in the path of the storm are advised to take immediate precautions and seek shelter to ensure their safety.
