The Conservative Party is new and different from the one that lost the 2024 general election, Kemi Badenoch insisted as she arrived at the Tories’ annual conference.

Mrs Badenoch’s party finds itself behind both Labour and Reform UK in public opinion polls, as she enters her second year of leading the Tories after their crippling defeat at the last election.
