Tories face backlash over ‘mental health’ swipe at Suella Braverman as former home secretary defects to Reform

The Conservatives are facing a backlash after claiming that Suella Braverman had defected to Reform following “mental health” issues.

The Tories initially said in response to the former home secretary’s defection that the party had done “all we could to look after Suella’s mental health” but she was “clearly very unhappy”.
