Tories did ‘level best’ to ruin oil and gas sector, says SNP candidate

The Conservatives did their “level best to ruin” the oil and gas sector, the SNP’s candidate in Aberdeen South has said.

Richard Thomson pointed to a drop in the number of directly employed offshore workers in Scotland from 153,000 in 2010 to just under 84,000 in 2023 – the same period the Tories were in power.
