LUCKNOW: Most of the toppers of pre-Board examinations from various city schools who are expecting a high percentage in their Class 12 Board examinations are not considering academic institutes in Lucknow as a backup option for further studies.
The the last two years, meritorious students were hesitant of moving out of the city in view of coronavirus pandemic. A number of meritorious students, whom the TOI talked to, want to enrol for UG courses at private/government colleges or universities in Delhi, Bengaluru or Mumbai due to high exposure. They said that poor placement, inadequate national or international level academic exposure and lower national rankings of city institutes was the reason for their decision to look for options in other cities.
