The Big Ten has some elite corners and a few may be vying for an opportunity to be drafted in the first round. The top of this list features two studs from programs that produce top-notch corners on a consistent basis and the third guy is from a lesser-quality program that has made some defensive anchors in the past.
We do have a Buckeye make our top three and it may seem to be a biased selection to a few, but this guy has gotten consistent first-round hype and had a slight hiccup of a season in 2022, but is ready to bounce back in 2023. Let’s dive into the list.
Here are our top three cornerbacks in the Big Ten entering the 2023 season.
3
Kalen King, Penn State
Why the Pick
Kalen King is the star of an experienced and talented Nittany Lions defensive backfield. He was the Big Ten leader in deflected passes with 21 last season during his first season as a starter and earned All-Big Ten honors.
Penn State CB Kalen King (5-11, 190) has a great feel for locating and making plays on the ball in flight.

2
Max Melton, Rutgers
Why the Pick
Max Melton is the star in an expected much improved Scarlet Knights defense and he has the experience, quick feet, and athleticism to stick with even the toughest receivers.

1
Denzel Burke, Ohio State
Why the Pick
Denzel Burke is one of the most physical corners in the nation with the ability to dominate in man coverage, but his sophomore season was inconsistent with injuries being a part of the equation. Burke has shown flashes of greatness but needs to solidify that in 2023.
