Top ten Christmas songs ranked as 50 per cent of Brits have festive shower playlist

Christmas is just around the corner, and everybody loves a wee sing along to festive tunes, no matter what they're doing.

A new study of 500 Spotify playlists has revealed the UK’s favourites when it comes to creating the ultimate festive soundtrack for none other than in the shower. To coincide with the Spotify study, luxury bathroom specialist, Big Bathroom Shop surveyed 1,000 Brit’s bathroom habits, revealing that 78 per cent admit to singing in the shower.

Over half of the participants in the study (52 per cent) have a personalised bathroom playlist especially for Christmas that they play exclusively from December 1. So which festive tracks made it to the top ten and into our shower showtimes?

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee landed third place - featured in iconic films such as Home Alone and Deck the Halls, this family favourite is here to stay and bound to get dad shouting into his shampoo bottle.

John Lawless, content marketing manager at Big Bathroom Shop summarises: “We conducted this research to learn more about bathroom behaviour, and how Christmas really takes over in all areas of life!

"Choosing an acceptable date to start playing the Christmas classics is always a debated topic and it was so interesting to see that so many Brits even have specific playlists dedicated to making shower time more festive from December 1."
