The top signs your dog has truly become part of your family include celebrating their birthday (39%), having pictures of them around the house (36%) – and not being able to imagine life without your pooch (84%), research has found.
A survey of 2,000 dog owners revealed that 61% claim they would do anything for their furry friend – including letting them sleep in the bed at night (33%), and giving them their own spot on the sofa (40%).
One in five have even turned down nights out with friends, preferring to stay in with their pet.
