Top Scots comic Gary Faulds returning to Hamilton Townhouse for sell out gig

Top Scots comic Gary Faulds is making a triumphant return to Hamilton as part of his 2022 live tour.

Hamilton Town House will once again host one of the country’s most promising comedians in a sell out show on Saturday, February 26.

Tickets for Gary Faulds Live! first went on sale back in February 2019 and sold out so quickly the show became the fastest-selling at the venue in a decade.

The global pandemic, however, cancelled the stage tour until now when Gary kicked it off at the Palace Theatre and Grand Hall in Kilmarnock earlier this month.

The show has proved to be a huge hit to date and internet sensation Gary, who also works as a full time gas engineer at Energy Technical Academy, is delighted to be returning to Hamilton.

He told Lanarkshire Live : "I’m thrilled to be returning to Hamilton Town House.

"It's an iconic, fab venue. I mean, it’s huge and quite intimidating, but I’m really excited to go back with all this new material from the last two years where we were all stuck indoors with nothing to do, and share some banter with the good people of Lanarkshire."

Back in 2019 Gary lived in Strathaven, but moved back to his native Springburn just before coronavirus hit.

That year he enjoyed a host of Lanarkshire-based gigs at Hamilton Accies Football Club, a social club in Burnbank as well as at Lanark Memorial Hall and East Kilbride Arts Centre.

He also kindly donated £1000 in cash to the Advertiser’s annual Christmas Toy Appeal as a thank you to the Lanarkshire public for making him feel at home.

The Facebook star – who has a monthly online audience of around two million – will take to the stage in front of a packed audience of 750 people at the Townhouse.

He added: “Hamilton is generally quite a wild gig with a lot of heckling and banter.

"But I absolutely love that. It shows that the crowd up up for a real laugh!

"I can’t wait to get back on that stage and I hope everyone enjoys the show."
