Tesla stock, Epam Systems and Moderna were the top three S&P 500 index gainers on the stock market today. Weyerhaeuser, Mosaic were Tuesday's biggest S&P 500 losers.
Tesla leapt 7.9% to 993.98, its sixth straight advance. The Tesla Berlin plant began Model Y deliveries on Tuesday.
EPAM stock rose 6.9% to 303.72. The IT outsourcing specialist has nearly doubled in the past two weeks after crashing due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Epam Systems has a lot of staff in Ukraine and Belarus.
MRNA stock climbed 6.5% to 186.72 as Covid cases pick up again worldwide due to a new omicron variant. Moderna reclaimed its 50-day line last week.
S&P 500 Losers
WY stock fell 2.5% to 38.20 as the wood products REIT retreated from its 50-day moving average.
MOS stock lost 2.3% to 65.68 after the fertilizer maker gapped up more than 8% Monday to a record high.
HES stock declined 2.2% to 101.59 on Tuesday after the oil exploration firm rallied to a new high Monday.
