A top-rated Edinburgh Indian and Nepalese restaurant has officially re-opened following a refurbishment and have posted pictures of their swish new décor.
Gautam's, on Dalziel Place, Meadowbank, closed at the end of January and took to Instagram to announce that they are building a new 're-imagined' dining destination with the help of local interior artists.
With the restaurant being one of the highest rated Asian eateries in Edinburgh, according to TripAdvisor, customers were left excited at the prospect of a new 're-imagined venue'.

With the interior of the building being completely re-shaped and given a modern twist, Gautam's have now shared images of their cosy new-look décor, which includes soft bright orange sofas, a dark purple pain-job and new flooring.
Last week, Gautam's held a 'soft launch' for their newly refurbished venue, with the restaurant now open seven days a week for both dine-in and takeaway options.
After sharing a video and 'sneak peak' of their un-recognisable venue last week, the team said: "We were delighted to welcome you all to our ‘soft launch’ last night! We are now open, come & join us and discover the newly renovated Gautam’s.
Massive thank you to @ja_coco_ @lothianpropertyscotland @dalydecor_ @craaigrobertson and all of our other trades for your amazing work."
After opening at the end of 2018, we previously reported how impressed we were during a visit to Gautam's. In 2021, Gautam's was also voted as serving up one of the best takeaway curries in the capital, according to Just Eat.
