1. Kannada Sahitya Parishat is holding a round table conference on ‘Save Kannada schools and promote Kannada language’, under the chairmanship of noted writer S.L. Bhyrappa. Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C. Nagesh will inaugurate the event, to be held at Kuvempu Auditorium, III Floor, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Chamarajpet, 11 a.m. 

2. Social Welfare Department is holding a programme to mark Dr. Babu Jagjeevanram’s 115th birth anniversary and also present Dr. Babu Jagjeevanram award. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Social Welfare & Backward Classes Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and Transport & Minister for Schedule Tribes B. Sriramulu will participate in the event to be held at Vidhana Soudha

3. Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy to participate in a programme being organised by Hasiru Sene on problems of farmers at Kondajji Basappa auditorium in Bengaluru today
