1. Bengaluru City University is holding its first annual convocation today. Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot will preside over the function. Dr. K. Kasturirangan, former Chairman, ISRO, and Chairman Drafting Committee, NEP - 2020, will be the chief guest and will deliver convocation address, at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium, Palace Road, Central College campus.

2. Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will give re-appointment letters to employees who were fired following the transport strike. Transport Minister B. Sriramulu will participate.

3. Alumni of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) will hold a press conference to spell out their plans for improvement of the college.

4. Congress is holding protest today against price raise and communal conflicts in Karnataka.

From south Karnataka

Minister in charge of Mysuru district S T Somashekar is scheduled to hold a meeting to discuss the proposal to include town panchayats and CMC on the outskirts of Mysuru into the limits of Mysuru City Corporation and create a Bruhat Mysuru Mahanagara Palike.

From coastal Karnataka

1. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will participate in a series of programmes in Udupi today from noon onwards. He will visit Uchhila Mahalakshmi temple, inaugurate a public digital library built in memory of Sanskrit scholar the late Bannanje Govindacharya in Udupi, and inaugurate a KSRTC bus stand and attend a programme at Sagri Vasuki Subrahmanya temple in Udupi.

2. Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Akshy Sridhar will interact with members of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the issues and development projects of the city.

From north Karnataka

1. Passing-out parade of 20th batch of constables will be held today at Kalaburagi District Police Training School.

2. Former leader of opposition in council S.R. Patil to launch a movement seeking implementation of irrigation projects in north Karnataka. To hold a press meet in Hubballi.
