Congratulations and best wishes poured in for a once-homeless dad who is set to marry his childhood sweetheart.
Kurt Sacharewicz and Suzanne Taylor first dated when the pair were teenagers at high school in Runcorn before they went their separate ways, each going on to begin new relationships. Years later Kurt, who had a become a dad, was left homeless after the breakdown of his relationship in his mid 30s.
He soon ended up in sheltered accomodation, after having to give up his house for a flat, then his flat for the streets when he could no longer afford to pay his bills. He spoke of how he "spiralled" and suffered extreme anxiety that left him unable to go outside during his time without a home.

Yet, years later Kurt got wind Suzanne had been talking about their past relationship after she split with her partner at the time. Soon the pair were put in touch by mutual acquaintences and began to speak to each other once again - beginning to date once more in 2021.
Kurt told the ECHO: "She was sat with her friend I think and they were talking about relationships.
"She said something like 'the only person who was ever really nice to me was Kurt'. A relative of mine told me she'd been talking about me and soon we got talking again and hit it off from day one.
"I wasn't good around people as it set off my anxiety but Suzanne has always been a lovely soul and has never had a bad bone in her body. She basically saved me.
"We're getting married in August. We're going to get married in Runcorn where we're from."
