A leading Irish lawyer has warned that there is an imposter trying to scam people into believing that it is him.
Richard Grogan, an Employment Law and Personal Injury Law Solicitor, has seen his popularity skyrocket in recent months as a result of a number of clips on TikTok, where he dishes out legal advice in short clips.
Richard, who has been in the business for over three decades, currently heads up RGA Richard Grogan & Associates Solicitors in Dublin.
But he has become so popular that now there are people trying to impersonate him.
"Now, the fake accounts are running wild. And we have a new one up now - richardgrogansolicitor1.
"Not me. If you see any of these kind of accounts, always click into them and see if there's a few videos and if you don't see a video of me going 'that's the law and that's a fact' you can take it that this is some lowlife who has set up their own account to try and mislead people.
"Some of these individuals setting up these fake accounts are trying to flog questionable policies and insurance products to try and get information about you and your account. I don't do any of that."
Richard finished with a warning to anyone who is trying to impersonate him with false information.
"If you're trying to rip me off using my photograph and pretending to be me, well, I've got news for you. That's a criminal offence. And I'm going to report you to An Garda Siochana, because that's the law and that's a fact."
