NEW DELHI: Ankait Tomar, a prominent 21-year-old centre-fire pistol shooter, was unexpectedly dropped from the Indian squad set to participate in the ISSF World Championships in Baku. This decision, made a week prior to the team's departure, was attributed to a 'minor scuffle with a fellow shooter," said his father on Sunday.
Tomar first became aware of his removal on August 7, when he noticed the absence of his name and weapon details from the list of participants bound for the championships in Azerbaijan.
