Top fantasy picks for Cardinals vs. Rams in Week 3

Week 3 is here and it couldn’t be a better time to pick up a win in fantasy football.

Perhaps you’re 2-0 and feeling good, or desperately need to get into the win column. Either way, we’ve got some fantasy football picks to help.

The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams face off Sunday afternoon and their games often provide good fantasy performances as both games in the regular season had more than 50 combined points.

Looking at the players you should start from this matchup, we will go with the assumption you will start Rams WR Cooper Kupp. After all, why would you ever bench him?

Below are the other guys you should consider starting from this NFC West showdown.

Cardinals WR Hollywood Brown

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

This is the third straight week Hollywood has made this list and we’re sticking to it.

Brown is due for a breakout game in the desert and a long touchdown or two. His fantasy numbers have been solid, roughly around the 10-12 per game mark, but nothing sensational. He did have a touchdown taken from him last week from the officials, as he was ruled as having landed inside the one-yard line.

This week, he’ll be going against a very depleted Rams secondary. It remains unclear if he’ll be shadowed by Jalen Ramsey, but the potential is there if he isn’t.

The Rams cornerback situation is very dire outside of Ramsey, so look for Hollywood to finally get his long touchdown this week.

TE Tyler Higbee

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

For those looking for a waiver-wire pickup or need another player to complete their lineup this week, Higbee might be your guy.

Higbee has had solid outings against the Cardinals in the past and has developed a solid chemistry with Matthew Stafford as of late.

Last week, Higbee totaled seven receptions for 71 yards against the Falcons. The few times Cooper Kupp isn’t open, Stafford has been looking in Higbee’s direction.

The Cardinals have allowed sizable fantasy performances to tight ends in the first two weeks of the season, so it’s fair to assume Higbee will get his fair share of targets.

WR Greg Dortch

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

This may seem like a reach, but Dortch is likely available in your league and has been productive.

Dortch has been lightning in a bottle for the Cardinals amidst their woes at the wide receiver position. Last week, he had 55 yards receiving and a touchdown. The week prior, he head the team with seven receptions for 63 yards.

Given the Rams’ concerns at cornerback, Dortch has a fantastic opportunity ahead of him. He won’t draw coverage from Jalen Ramsey, leaving him to whatever is left of the Rams’ unit.

He’s a great last-minute addition if you need one.
