The owner of a top Dublin restaurant has been praised for his decision to give his staff time off on Christmas Eve.
Gaz Smith runs Michael’s, a popular seafood restaurant with several locations, including Mount Merrion and Sutton. He took to Twitter to confirm that his businesses would close on Christmas Eve as his staff were in need of “a nice lengthy break.”
He made a similar announcement last year on social media, confirming that his restaurants would close for one week following December 23. This decision was also made with his staff’s wellbeing in mind.
