Thousands will be heading to the gym in an attempt to shed the post-Christmas pounds.
While some will be kickstarting their New Year's resolutions, others may be returning to the gym after a long break. Thankfully, there is no scarcity of gyms in Dublin with many offering great packages.
We had a look around and found some incredible bargains that will keep you fit without breaking the bank. Here are the best value gyms in Dublin:

FLYEfit
FLYEfit has a number of locations around Dublin including Dundrum, Ranelagh, Blanchardstown, Swords, City Centre and more. The fitness chain has both roaming and single gym monthly passes.
You can get the all-gyms pass for €35 per month plus a €25 joining fee or a single-gym pass for €32 per month and the €25 joining fee. Or you can pay as you go for €12 a day, €20 for two day, or €27 for three days.
Ben Dunne Gyms
Ben Dunne has gyms in Blanchardstown, Terenure, Cherrywood, and Santry. The fitness giant is advertising a "no-contract" pass for only €29.95 a month plus a €25 joining fee. You can also get the 12-month membership for €279 a year with no joining fee.
Coolmine Fitness Centre
Coolmine Fitness Centre is located upstairs at the rear of Coolmine Sports Centre. Membership gives you access to all of the gym equipment as well as the health centre which has a sauna and swimming pool. Here are the costs:
3-month membership: €120
6-month membership: €180
12-month membership: €265
Weekly membership: €12 plus €30 joining fee
BodyTone membership with unlimited access to BodyTone studio for 12 months: €280
YMCA
The YMCA in Aungier Street is offering gym-only membership for €135 for three months, €210 for six months, €300 for 12 months. Monthly payments are €30 per month and €35 if you include classes. You can pay as you go for just €10 per gym use.
The fitness centre also has student discounts in place with gym-only membership for €225 for 12 months, €180 for eight months, and €110 for three months. The Sandymount branch is advertising gym-only memberships for €50 for one month, €10 per session for pay-as-you-go gym, and €10 per class for pay-as-you-go classes.
Energie Fitness
Energie Fitness is offering two types of memberships: Classic, Wow!, and Epic. The cost is as follows: €31.99 per month (Classic), €36.99 per month (Wow!) or €61.99 per month (Epic).
There are five locations across Dublin in Drimnagh, Dublin, Citywest, Stepaside, Dun Laoghaire, and Clarehall. The classic package gives you unlimited training, a kickstart session, in-club wi-fi, and the Energie Fitness app.
The Wow! package includes everything in the classic membership as well as other activities like blast classes, core classes, discounts, offers, and more. The Epic membership has even more features including personal training sessions and a MyZone MZ-3 heart rate tracker worth €129.99.
Better Body Gym
Better Body Gym in Phibsborough is offering off-peak passes for €30 per month, €45 per month for gym-only membership, and an all-inclusive offer for €50 per month. They are also advertising a discounted rate of €40 for students, health workers, and over 60s.
Clondalkin Leisure Centre
One of the cheaper options, the Clondalkin Leisure Centre is advertising €25 per month for a gym-only package or €220. You can also get the full-single membership which gives you unlimited use of the gym/pool and all timetabled fitness classes during opening hours for €46 per month or €485 yearly.
TNDO Fitness
TNDO in North Strand is offering a monthly fee of €39 plus €21 joining fee or €370 yearly membership with no joining fee.
St James's Gate Health & Fitness Club
The club, which was originally built for Guinness employees, is offering memberships for €34 per month. The club has undergone a refurbishment with a complete replacement of its gym area and a new studio for classes. yYu can also snag the three-month membership for €136 or the 12-month package for 360.
FBT Gyms
Located in Swords and Coolock, the gyms cost €29 a month and €349 yearly.
