France’s top clubs are ready to target senior England stars by offering deals allowing them to feature in the Top 14 while also continuing their Test careers.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has for years guarded against an exodus to France by upholding the policy of not selecting overseas-based players for international duty save for “exceptional circumstances”.
