The 10 most dangerous areas in Nottinghamshire have been revealed in new police data. It shows that Nottingham city centre and Trent Bridge has the highest crime rate for its population in Nottinghamshire - and is in the top 35 nationally.
The data shows how many crimes have been reported in each area across the city and county, including how many of these were for anti-social behaviour,, theft and criminal damage and other offences. During the year ending January 2022, the City Centre and Trent Bridge neighbourhood suffered more crime than anywhere else in our area.
A total of 5,609 crimes were committed in that neighbourhood over the last 12 months. When compared to the population, that works out as 425 crimes for every 1,000 people who live there, which makes it the 34th most dangerous neighbourhood in all England and Wales. A big concern is the high rate of violence and sexual offences, with 106 of these types of crimes for every 1,000 residents.
