Took provisional suspension for swift resolution of my doping case: Dipa Karmakar

NEW DELHI: After reports came out about her 21-month ban for failing a dope test, Indian gymnastics star Dipa Karmakar took to social media on Saturday to clarify that she had accepted provisional suspension with the hope of a swift resolution of her case with the international federation.

Karmakar also claimed that she had 'unknowingly ingested' the banned substance Higenamine -- S3 Beta-2 Agonists as per WADA prohibited list -- which was found in her dope sample taken last year in October.
