Tony Watt will be FREE to face Celtic this weekend after a successful red card appeal.
The Dundee United star was sent off during last weekend's clash with Motherwell after a VAR review from a challenge on Sean Goss. The ex-Hoops kid was facing his former club but his afternoon was ended early after he was interpreted to have been guilty of 'serious foul play'
However, following a fast-trick hearing, his dismissal has now been rescinded and replaced with a caution. It means he will be free to face his old club this coming weekend as United face Ange Postecoglou's men for the first time since their 9-0 Tannadice drubbing. A club statement read: "Dundee United can confirm Tony Watt will be available for Saturday's trip to Celtic Park after a successful appeal of his red card in last Saturday's fixture v Motherwell.

"Tony was dismissed after a VAR review of his 40th minute challenge with Sean Goss.
"At the time, it was interpreted that Tony has been guilty of Serious Foul Play but this has been downgraded to a caution under the offence ‘Reckless tackles or challenges an opponent."
Dundee United currently sit 11th in the league table with nine points - the same as bottom club Ross County and three behind newly promoted Kilmarnock.
They come up against Celtic this weekend before a huge clash with Derek McInnes' side and then Aberdeen ahead of the World Cup winter shutdown.
