Toni Kroos had to react suddenly after his Real Madrid teammate Eden Hazard attempted to give his son some champagne during the side’s Champions League celebrations.
The party was in full swing in the Spanish side’s dressing room after the game following on from their defeat of Liverpool in the Champions League final. Vinicius Junior scored the only goal of the game, two minutes before the hour mark, to seal the Spanish giant’s 14th Champions League title.
The triumph capped a wonderful season for Real Madrid and followed on from the side securing their 35th La Liga title last month. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have secured both domestic and European success, so it was little surprise that the players celebrated at the end of another successful campaign for the club.
after the match showed the raucous atmosphere with players jubilant after securing the crown and making the most of the moments. Players were dancing, singing and drinking champagne to enjoy the moment.
Video images show Hazard – Real Madrid’s club record signing, who did not play a part in the final in Paris – holding a glass of bubbly, before cheekily offering it to the son of Kroos. The Belgian star was attempting to allow the midfielder’s kid to have a taste of the drink – although the German midfielder was having none of it.
The Germany international witnessed the incident unfolding in front of him and he immediately had to intervene, blocking Hazard’s offer of the drink with his arm. Clearly, Kroos was unimpressed with the idea of his child drinking alcohol without his permission.

Kroos also wagged his finger at his child, making it clear he wouldn’t be allowed any alcohol on the night. Hazard responded with a grin that suggested that he suspected his teammate may be quick off the mark to intervene and prevent the offer from being accepted.
Kroos has recently spoken of his friendship with Hazard and how the two families have bonded since the Belgian’s move to the Spanish capital from Chelsea in the summer of 2019.
The title in Paris was Hazard’s first ever Champions League medal but for experienced midfielder Kroos, this was his fifth – four of which were won with Real Madrid and one with Bayern Munich, in 2013.
Kroos, alongside Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Casemiro, Dani Carvajal, Isco, Marcelo and Luka Modric, all joined their former Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in winning the trophy a record five times.
