Sunny skies are once again set to grace the face of the North East, as the glorious summer weather continues to treat residents across the region.
Those in Newcastle and its surrounding areas will be blessed with brilliant blue skies for the most part to kick off the weekend ahead, with highs of 23C predicted by the weather experts at the Met Office.
And while the temperature will drop to 14C, it won't be until the overnight transition into Saturday - giving people much needed respite from the heat while they get some much needed rest.
