Celtic have completed the signing of Tomoki Iwata from Yokohama F. Marinos.
The J-League Player of the Year joins on an initial long-deal with a compulsory purchase clause included in the transfer. Following the loan period he will join in the summer on a long-term contract. The 25-year-old can play in a number of positions across the midfield and in defensive positions as he becomes the third player to join ahead of the January transfer window.
Alistair Johnston and fellow J-League star Yuki Kobayashi have already signed on the dotted line at Parkhead as the Hoops gaffer wastes no time in getting his transfer business done. On his latest recruit, Postecoglou told the Celtic website: “We really are delighted to be bringing Tomoki to Celtic and I am sure he will be a player that our supporters will like.
