Tommy Fury speaks out on tears after Jake Paul win and avoids Susanna Reid's 'pay day' quizzing as fans pick up habit on ITV Good Morning Britain

Tommy Fury has addresses his emotional reaction to defeating Jake Paul in his first TV interview since returning home from Saudi Arabia. The Manchester boxer appeared on Good Morning Britain on Thursday morning (March 2) live from his Greater Manchester home which he shares with his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague and their baby daughter.

The 23-year-old has spent the last few days catching up on quality time with his influencer partner and their month-old daughter, Bambi, after he spent weeks away training before finally facing Jake Paul in their grudge match on Sunday (February 26).

Tommy's long-standing feud with the YouTube star-turned-MMA fighter came to a conclusion at Diriyah Arena and Tommy took a standing count for a knockdown in the final round – with the British fighter claiming to have slipped – but had earlier done enough to earn a split decision on the judges' cards.

Tommy, who met and fell in love with Molly-Mae on the ITV2 dating show Love Island in 2019, appeared emotional after his victory as he dedicated his win to his girlfriend and their baby daughter, Bambi, who was born on January 23.

Twenty-four hours after being awarded the specially created 'Diriyah Champion' belt from the WBC, Tommy, 23, was seen arriving home in a video filmed by new mum Molly-Mae, with the victory belt still slung over his shoulder, to a sweet display set-up by his girlfriend.

Molly-Mae, also 23, also later posted a powerful message to say "the good guy doesn't always finish last." The creative director for fashion brand PrettyLittleThing also spoke of their difficulties "behind closed doors" in the run-up to the fight alongside an adorable photo of the new family of three back together.

And during his appearance on GMB with Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard, Tommy heaped praise on Molly-Mae, saying he 'owes everything' to her and their baby girl, who was born on January 23. "At the end of the day this victory is for them, it was for those two. At the end of the day, I've been in training camp and Molly's been being an amazing mother.

"She's the best woman any man could ever ask for. She's done everything. All the hard miles at the start because I was in the training camp and I owe everything to her and Bambi. So like I said, this victory, this win is for them."

But Susanna didn't get the answer she was looking for when she asked how much money Tommy, who is the half-brother of boxing champ Tyson Fury, had pocketed from finally taking on Jake, 26. "I did very well," he replied before grinning to the camera. He went on to say: "At the end of the day, it was a career high pay day for me.

"But not for me should I say, because everything I do now in my career is for Bambi. Everything I do is to make sure she's happy and has a good life for herself. Whatever I can do to make sure she had that, that's enough for me. This victory, it was for her and for both of them. At the end of the day, I've been training and Molly's been amazing. She's the best woman any man can ask for. I owe everything to her and Bambi."

He also addresses his tears after his win, saying they were about the flack he has faced for the last two years since the fight was first brought to the table. . Tommy and Jake were initially supposed to have a bout back in 2021 but Tommy pulled out after suffering a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib. Another scheduled fight in August was then pulled but ahead of Molly-Mae giving birth to their first child, it was announced that the pair would finally go head-to-head.

But viewers became distracted during the interview as they spotted Tommy's habit. @ElliePeriPeri tweeted: "If Tommy Fury says 'at the end of the day...' ONE MORE TIME...#GMB." @PhillipReid99 typed: "At the end of the day........#gmb." @bowziesfarm echoed: "#Gmb At the end of the day..."
