Tommy Fury has said that he watched the Creed films 'a million times' and heaped praise on star Michael B. Jordan after he picked the Brit to win against Jake Paul.
The Love Island star is in Saudi Arabia for his long-awaited grudge fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul after two cancellations and years of back-and-forth. The boxing world is reluctantly waiting for the clash of two young professionals who accrued massive followings outside of the ring that they have taken with them into fighting.
And one man who is famous for his portrayal of a top boxer, Michael B Jordan, has backed Fury to win the highly-anticipated pay-per-view fight. Speaking with BT Sport he noted that it was a tough one to call before reluctantly settling on the undefeated Brit to take his ninth career win.
"That was amazing," Fury admitted in an exclusive chat with Mirror Fighting in Riyadh ahead of the bout. "I've seen Creed a million times, [I am a] big fan of Michael B. Jordan, so big shout out to him for backing the real winner."
Jordan actually used Paul's second fight with Tyron Woodley, which was the initially inked date for Paul vs Fury, to film scenes for his upcoming trilogy, which is released next week. But he opted against picking his fellow American when quizzed about who was going to win the fight.

And Fury believes that Paul should have used the night in question as a chance to make his return to Hollywood and get back to acting after watching him make an intense call-out video days before their first meeting. Before starting boxing in 2018, Paul was a star on Disney Channel's Bizaardvark, but has steered clear of most acting in recent years as he focuses on fighting.
"They've just showed it to me here," Fury added. "I think he needs a part in the new Creed film. Michael B. Jordan needs to go and speak to him because that guy can ramble on, but again it's all s***, that's all that this stuff is. The guy is just talking and talking and talking.
"But the beauty of it is that on Sunday night all of that talking goes out the window. When those 10oz gloves are on and he's in the middle of the ring? Oh, you better be able to talk then."
