Tommy Fury's opponent Rolly Lambert has released a statement following their six round exhibition which took place in Dubai on Sunday.
Their fight was met with boos as they fought at a slow pace, with the exhibition status appearing to contribute to the tedious six round contest. Lambert was expected to provide a high level of opposition for Fury with a 15-1-0 record but with his last minute addition to the card it was not the contest which many in the crowd and around the world will have expected.
Cameroonian fighter Lambert is based in Dubai and stepped into the ring following Paul Bamba's withdrawal which came after Fury missed the weight limit by 6.8lbs. It is unusual for a fighter to accept a fight at such short notice and much of the criticism was aimed at Fury, with Jake Paul in particular offering vocal criticism while commentating on the contest.
