Tommy Fury explains how becoming a dad has made him a more "dangerous" boxer

Tommy Fury has declared that he is now a considerably more "dangerous" boxer after becoming a father and finding new motivation to fight for his daughter.

Fury and his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague welcomed their first child; Bambi, into the world last month, right as the Brit was ramping up preparations for his fight with Jake Paul on February 26. The Brit has jetted off from his plush home with Hague just weeks after Bambi was born to finish his preparations in Riyadh, with the bout now taking on new significance.

Hague and Fury met during the 2019 season of Love Island, and are one of the few couples in the show to stay together - somehow finding a way to work through their hectic schedules. Hague is one of the most recognisable celebrities in the UK with countless different projects on the go, while Fury is a full-time professional boxer with a massive following of his own.

"This was the best camp ever because Molly gave birth to our beautiful baby daughter," Fury told Mirror Fighting in an exclusive chat ahead of the grudge match. "It's a dream come true... At the end of the day this is a beautiful thing and everything that I do in my life now will be for her.

"I'm not going to spoil her or buy her unnecessary things or anything like that but I want to make sure that she has a great life and never has to struggle for anything. Everything's for her, now. It just makes me a more dangerous fighter in every single aspect. Now it's not just me I'm fighting for, I'm fighting for her. Everything in my game has been raised."

And when it comes to the gym itself, he repeats the famed cliche about having the 'best camp of his life'. The fact that an all-time highlight happened in his personal life aside, he is confident in the sparring that he's had in Bolton, and believes that he will stop Paul within the early rounds.

"Talking about what happened inside the boxing gym, the stuff that's happened there, I've never had as much sparring, quality sparring rounds after rounds, guys jumping in and out," Fury continued. "Everything's gone to the letter, I'm in the best physical condition I ever could have been. The road work, strength and conditioning, the sparring, whatever you name it.

"I've even got George Lockhart downstairs who cooks for Conor McGregor and Tyson, the best in the world at what he does. I've cut no corners, taken everything very seriously and everything's done now. When you've left no stone unturned you're very confident in what you do and that's exactly what I am and everyone will see on February 26."
