Tommy Fury claims his next opponent would "iron out" rival Jake Paul

Tommy Fury has claimed Jake Paul would be comfortably defeated if he were to take a fight with his upcoming opponent Daniel Bocianski.

Love Island star Fury has come under fire throughout his seven-fight career for facing opposition with losing records, only once prior facing anybody who had more wins than losses. But he will finally answer that criticism on the undercard of his brother Tyson's world heavyweight title defence against Dillian Whyte when he faces Bocianski, who has a 10-1 record.

The Polish fighter will be the toughest test of Fury's young career to date, as he looks to silence doubters with a statement win and ideally re-book a fight with Paul, who returns to the ring this summer. But Bocianski also has a padded record, in which he himself only has one win over a fighter with a positive record and he hasn't picked up a victory since 2019.

However, Fury feels that Paul, 5-0 in his own professional career, wouldn't stand a chance against Bocianski, telling the Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel : "This man I'm about to fight would iron Jake Paul out easy.

"Because this man has probably got a family to feed," he continued. "This is his only way of making money, he probably needs to make the money. He's going to come in with killer ambition."

Fury believes that the fight with Paul should be rescheduled after he picks up his eighth career win, and declared the YouTuber would be an "easy fight", which doesn't particularly motivate him. "Whenever I get asked about Jake Paul, it doesn't really spring anything in me because that's an easy fight for me," he continued.

"I'm used to fighting guys who are hungry and used to putting their life on the line, when the going gets tough, when Jake Paul is in a tough fight he's going to want to not continue and that's the type of man he is. When he fights me, that's exactly what will happen."

And Fury believes that he could, with a solid win at Wembley Stadium in front of a record-breaking 94,000-person crowd, earn his way to another major main event fight with Paul. "I see he wants to fight in August," Fury added. "I'm not sure who he's going to fight but if he wants the viewing figures back, a big fight that people are interested in, he knows where it's at.

"All you've got to do to see that is look at any of his posts, I get tagged in so many a day going 'who should Jake Paul fight?' Tommy Fury is the only one and it's in England. Let me get through this fight and then if Jake Paul wants it he can have it any time.

"I've already said that so there's no point in me wasting my breath any more on Jake Paul. He knows where it's at, but I've got my career to get on with, my career is blossoming, I'm fighting at Wembley Stadium in front of 100,000, I'm not looking for a MMA star to fight in some hall and get 60,000 views."
