Arsenal face one last action packed week before they have a month without football due to the mid-season World Cup in Qatar coming up. The Gunners are in Carabo Cup action next, facing off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
Mikel Arteta's men made it to the final four in last season's competition, losing out to eventual winners Liverpool over two legs with a 2-0 aggregate defeat. The Spaniard will be hopeful his side can go even further this time around, following up on his FA Cup triumph early in his management career.
"We have to, as a club, take every competition seriously," the manager told the official Arsenal media on the Carabo Cup. "We need to understand obviously the risks and rewards that we have, but at the same time we cannot treat any competition in a different way. We want another win because as well, playing well helps winning, and winning helps winning. It maintains the mood, it maintains the momentum, the confidence, the trust, the involvement of everybody and it’s just beneficial in any aspect."

With all that said, let's take a look at the latest injury news from Mikel Arteta's side as they prepare to welcome Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton to north London.
Takehiro Tomiyasu
After missing Sunday's London derby win over Chelsea, there was some understandable concern brewing around the availability of Tomiyasu for the Gunners final two games but also his chances of featuring for Japan in the World Cup.
However, a statement released by Arsenal, confirming Tomiyasu's inclusion in the Japan squad, outlined that the 24-year-old 'should' be available to play in the tournament.
Mikel Arteta handed an update on the defender and said: "It’s a small injury for Tomi, he did well to stop during the match, so it’s not going to be a big issue. I think he will be back in a week or so, so hopefully he will be fine to start at the World Cup."
Expected return date: Wednesday, November 23 (Japan vs Germany)
Mohamed Elneny
Arsenal's own Zinedine Zidane according to his team-mate got his first taste of Premier League action in two months on Sunday after playing for just over an hour in the Europa League three days prior.
With just two games left to play before the World Cup, which Egypt international Elneny will not be present for, it's likely that the Gunners will continue to ease him back to full fitness and possibly play him for 70 minutes on Wednesday as he continues his recovery.
Expected return date: Available for Brighton (H) Nov 9
Marquinhos
The summer signing, who had been used predominantly in Europa League action, was absent for the Gunners away trip to PSV after he was feeling unwell, while he was also missing from Arsenal's matchday squad for the Premier League fixture with Chelsea.
There is no new reported injury or illness concern for the Brazilian and he is very much in line to feature in the Carabao Cup fixture with Brighton on Wednesday.
Expected return date: Available for Brighton (H) Nov 9
