Tom has been everything from DJ, to music producer, to TV and social media personality but being a dad always comes first.
In his most recent Instagram post Tom opened up about a life changing father/son chat he had with his son where Deaconn, who at the time was only 13 years old, admitted to his dad that he was struggling mentally and felt stuck in a rut.
The 32-year-old was saddened to hear his son was struggling and pledged to help him feel more positive, the pair began working out together sharing snippets of their journey to fitness on Instagram during lockdown - from boxing, to running to weight training.
Now, Tom has revealed the results sharing a before and after snap of Deaconn and he is practically unrecognisable. The youngster looks incredible as he shows off his toned abs during a holiday snap.
The post read: "This is what hard work and dedication looks like! Swipe right. My son was only 13 when he made some very big decisions for himself, set a goal, sacrificed and fully committed to it.
"Obviously I told him over and again he just had a little had puppy fat and would get taller soon and grow into it, but he’s always been so athletic and in a deep father and son talk he told me in not so many words that he wasn’t in a good place.
"It broke my heart to hear that but kids do struggle too, and especially because he was going through a very difficult and confusing situation at the time no kid should have to go thru which I won’t get into.
"He added that he was in a rut where he would sit on his PlayStation and just binge on crisps and s*** food all night in his room. We started training very hard in lockdown, every single day. Not sure if u remember my videos but we was going all over the place together boxing to get fit, and finding beautiful places to workout.
"A lot of the time we would just make sure to run round the field near ours so we could get the work in and stick to it. Deaconn took it upon himself to start eating very clean and wouldn’t even touch a fizzy drink literally only drank water.
"For a kid at his age to make these decisions himself is absolutely beyond me. Wow I looked like a proper little chavvy fart when I was his age haha. I’m so proud honestly.
"At first he was sluggish and getting frustrated when we was pushing him to run an extra lap because it was very hard to break into the routine.
"But after a little while when he stuck to it, got fitter, started actually seeing results and feeling feeling much stronger he said dad ‘I wasn’t in a good mental space before but now I feel great’
"He really impresses me every day, and I’m very grateful to have a son with such amazing and infectious charisma, and an unbelievable head on his shoulders.
"I hope Deaconn's achievement and persistence can inspire other kids, and even adults who want to feel better about themselves to do the same. Get up and get stuck in, give it your all and you can make a change. Your the best son, I had to share this. Love you pal."
The post received 61.7k likes and 862 comments as followers flocked to share their support and congratulate Tom and Deaconn for their monumental achievement.
