Hamilton Accies defender Michael Doyle joked that his missus might shave his ‘Tom Selleck moustache’ off overnight – but admits it might need to go.
Doyle, 31, has been growing the moustache as a Movember fundraiser for the Mind mental health charity, but says he needs to make a decision on whether it’s still there tomorrow or not.
But Doyle says his wife might make the decision for him.
He said: “I think it’s quite funny – I enjoy how many people it annoys, especially family members and the missus.
“I might keep it, but I think the missus might shave it off while I’m sleeping – we’ll find out tomorrow!
“I think a couple of the coaching staff might hold me down and shave it off in the changing room as well.
“It’s the ‘Tom Selleck’ kind of look, and I’ve been enjoying it!”
Doyle added: “Movember has been going quite well, we’re in the last day now, and I’m actually considering keeping it.
“It has gone quite well. I’ve raised a good bit of money as well, which is good.
“I’ve done it for the last couple of years, it’s always nice to do a bit for charity, but I’ve actually enjoyed growing it.
“I’m raising money for the mental health charity, the one through Facebook and Instagram and things like that, the same one I’ve been doing for the last few years.
“I do think it probably adds about 10 years, which isn’t the best thing, but I have been enjoying it.”
