You might have noticed, among other things, during Vanderpump Rules season 10 that the restauranteur and musician had been switching up his look. Between bold prints, an even bolder mustache, and a pristine white-polish manicure, it's clear that now-beleaguered reality star Tom Sandoval is attempting to enter his Bowie/Freddie era.
The beauty, uh, choice hasn't been the most popular with Vanderpump fans, who have taken to Twitter to unload their thoughts. "List of things Tom Sandoval has ruined for me: white nail polish, Coors light, trust in men," one user wrote, along with three checkmarks. Another mourned: "I’m so mad that I FINALLY found the perfect white nail polish! Like one coat of this OPI polish Ugh! I hate you Tom Sandoval!" And a third summed it up: "I can't believe that Tom Sandoval has ruined white nail polish for America."

On Thursday, May 25, Glamour posted a piece titled, "Tom Sandoval Has Ruined White Nail Polish for Everyone, a scathing article insisting that, "truly, a white manicure is the only thing Sandoval has been loyal to all season."
Apparently, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Soon after the piece went live, the reality star took to Instagram Stories to call out the publication and the author.
He captioned a screenshot of the article: "@glamourmag At least have the courage to @ me if ur gonna talk s***. I thought ur mag was about being positive & glamorous, not trashy?"
Referencing the author specifically, he wrote: "With writing such a disgusting, trashy, hateful & bias article, how can u dare call urself a 'Journalist'"?
The floodgates have opened, and no white O.P.I. hue is safe. Truth be told, what seemed extra questionable is the fact that white nails on TikTok allegedly signify that you're single, a trend that emerged in February 2023.
All in all, manicure or not, Pump Rules has encountered its biggest scandal to date with Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss' affair, seemingly marking a new point in the reality TV genre. We certainly don't condone the behavior that transpired, but we'll be candid: we're definitely not parting ways with one of our go-to summer nail ideas just because of Tom.
