Tom Parker struggled to walk but bravely vowed to carry on in his last television appearance.
The Wanted singer sadly lost his battle with cancer today at the age of 33, with his wife Kelsey paying tribute to the "centre of her world" as she thanked everyone for their kind words of support for her and the couple's two children.
During his cancer battle, Tom continued to push for more awareness of the devastating effects of his inoperable brain tumour, and he opened up about his own struggles and battles in a poignant appearance in Channel 4 documentary, Tom Parker: Inside My Head.
During the heartbreaking but poignant documentary, Tom told his bandmates: "I feel alright, mate - my voice is always a bit hoarse after treatment. When you get told you have an incurable cancer, everything just happens so quickly.
"Everyone's been really lovely. Loads of people have reached out. It puts things in perspective you know what I mean, like if they've fought the battle against it then I can."
His bandmate Nathan Sykes also discussed the group's charity gig for Stand Up To Cancer, as he joked to his friend: "I tried dancing round the kitchen the other day, it weren't happening."
Tom countered with the heartbreaking admission: "I can't even walk round the kitchen let alone dance."
Luckily, Tom was well enough to make it to the gig, which was held at the Royal Albert Hall, with the proceeds split between the Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal.
Tom's wife Kelsey announced the tragic news of his passing today.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence," Kelsey confirmed the sad news in a devastating statement shared on her Instagram account.
"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end."
In a poignant final sentence, she added: "I’m forever proud of you."
