Tom Parker's wife Kelsey pays subtle tribute to 'soulmate' with hair pin at his funeral

Kelsey Parker made a subtle tribute to her beloved husband Tom as she wore a jewelled hair pin with his name on to his funeral, held at Petts Wood on Wednesday.

The mother-of-two, 32, joined her family, friends and fans to say their final goodbye to the singer who tragically died aged 33 last month after a battle with brain cancer.

In memory of Tom, Kelsey wore his silver wedding ring as well as a personalised gold clip in her hair which had his name written in silver gems.

The couple married in 2018 and have two children, Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one.

After the service, Kelsey broke down in tears as she laid a white rose on Tom's coffin and said goodbye.

During his funeral, Kelsey's tribute to Tom was played to the congregation in a pre-recorded message.

She said how "if love could have saved you, you would have lived forever" as she thanked him for being her "soulmate".

Kelsey said: "Nineteen-year-old me met him in a nightclub. I saw him and said 'oh my God, I love him'.

"It was love at first sight. I told everyone from that moment “I am going to marry him.”

"He had just joined a band called The Wanted. He had other ideas. He said 'I am going to be famous I won’t have time for a girlfriend'.

"Life with you was never boring. Our relationship was fiery and fast-paced because we loved each other so much."

Kelsey went on to say how marrying Tom "was the best day of my life" before going into the moment Tom was diagnosed with an inoperable grade 4 glioblastoma in October 2020.

Despite his diagnosis, in the weeks before his death he had performed on stage with his bandmates as part of their much-delayed reunion tour.

She continued: "You didn’t allow your diagnosis to hold you back. You did everything in that time from bringing The Wanted back together to raising money for brain tumour research.

"You have shown our children how to be brave and strong and even in your darkest days you stayed positive.

"We will carry on your legacy forever.

"We truly lived 1,000 years in 13 years. I love you more than you could ever see and you will always be my angel Tommy in the sky.

"If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."
