Kelsey Parker has opened up about one of the last conversations she had with late husband Tom Parker before the Wanted member died on March 30.
The late singer, who had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2020, passed away in a hospice, aged 33, last month, with his wife Kelsey, 32, by his side.
The mother-of-two has now spoken about some of his final moments, recalling that the couple had a "romantic" conversation in St Christopher's Hospice in London.
She said that she promised him everything would be okay after his passing and that she would teach their kids Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, "everything" he wanted them to know.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, Kelsey is said to have had "tears streaming down her face" as she recalled lying in bed with her husband for two hours before his death last month.
Kelsey said that they "needed that time together to talk," with her stating that she "didn't want anyone coming in" and interupting the couple - who had got married in 2018.
She explained to the outlet that it was "romantic even then," despite being in a hospice, with her stating that it didn't matter where they were, he "absolutely worshipped" her.
She said: "That was Tom as a person. It never mattered where we were. He was always so romantic, loving and caring, and absolutely worshipped the ground I walked on."
Kelsey said that night she could sense that he was "still trying to figure a way out of this," with her further revealing details of the conversation that they had together.
She recalled telling her husband: "I will be OK, the kids will be OK. I will make sure that everything you want them to know, the things that you've taught me over the years, I promise to teach them it all."
Kelsey said that he responded by saying that the family would be okay and then took off his wedding ring, placing it on her finger. "I think he knew then it was the end," she said.
She said that he still had the "fight in him" though and that she was herself "wishing for that miracle." Tom sadly passed away on March 30 though, with Kelsey holding his hand.
His widow further recalled that she had asked him before he had passed away whether he would send her signs every day, with him responding "yes" to the question.
She said that in the moments after his death she had been crying on a bench outside the hospice when she looked up and noticed a feather that had just fell from the sky.
"I knew straight away it was him," she commented. Kelsey said she has kept the feather, with it now safely stored in a glass pot that she has placed on her dressing table.
She told the outlet that she will continue to look for similar "special signs" every day because she knows that Tom will be with her and that he will be "watching over us all."
