Tom Parker's widow Kelsey has said that his bandmates will help raise his two children.
Kelsey, 32, has opened up about how The Wanted stars were a big support to Tom ever since he was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago, and wants them to have an input in her daughter and son's lives.
Tom tragically died aged just 33 in March, 18 months after he was diagnosed with brain cancer.
She explained that Jay McGuinness, 31, had moved into their home during Tom's final days to help care for their children - two-year-old Aurelia and 18-month-old Bodhi - so that she could go and see Tom at the hospice.
The mum told The Sun: "Jay stayed with us. He was upstairs in the loft room, just so I knew he was there."
She said of Tom's bandmates Jay, Max George (33), Siva Kaneswaran (33) and Nathan Sykes (29): "They’re a massive part of our lives and always have been. They are role models for the kids too, so I want them to come over and have their input in their lives and to tell them stories about their dad."
Kelsey explained that the singers knew stories that she doesn't about Tom and that Bodhi will want to know about his dad when he's older.
She added: "They will always be there for us."
Speaking of Tom's final moments, Kelsey said that it was "beautiful until the very end" and recalled holding his hand as he died.
Kelsey said that she got into bed with him and that they were together for two hours in there as she just wanted that time with him.
"I didn’t want anyone coming in," she said. "We needed that time together to talk."
Kelsey described it as "romantic" even though they were in a hospice together and said that Tom had always been "so romantic, loving and caring".
Kelsey recently shared a touching photo of her daughter Aurelia holding a feather on Instagram as she said "daddy has come to visit".
She revealed that Tom had promised to send her signs every day before he died.
The mum recalled sitting on a bench crying when a feather fell from the sky.
Kelsey said: “I said to Tom before he passed away, ‘Will you give me signs every day’, and he said, ‘Yes’. I knew straight away it was him.
"I kept that feather, I still have it in a little glass pot on my dressing table.”
It comes after Kelsey shared a heartfelt poem on her Instagram stories last week following her husband's funeral.
She said: "Grief may feel like the dying of the soul while the body still lives, but you are alive my friend.
“And they are not, nor do they want you to be with them just yet. They very much want you to live.”
The poem continued: “Do not fear the grief you feel, it’s just love thrashing around, looking for somewhere to go. So give it somewhere to go.”
At the end of the post, it said the poem was called ‘I Wish I Knew’ by Donna Ashworth.
Tom's funeral was held on April 20 at St Francis of Assisi Church in Petts Wood, south east London.
Fans were invited to line the streets and welcomed outside the church as the service was played out on screens.
Tom’s The Wanted bandmates Max , Siva, Nathan and Jay were the pallbearers.
In a pre-recorded eulogy at the service which left the congregation in tears, Kelsey called Tom her “soulmate” and said he had “taught their children how to be brave”.
She added the boy band star would still be alive today “if love alone could have saved him”.
