Tom Parker's funeral final song was Oasis' Live Forever - the music chose to die to

The Wanted singer Tom Parker 's funeral's final song was the poignant Oasis song Live Forever which was playing as he died.

He tragically died aged 33 at the end of March after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in October 2020.

Tom was surrounded by his close friends and family when he passed away and it was recently reported that he listened to the song from the 1994 album Definitely Maybe.

It was reported that he believed the lyrics 'really spoke to his struggle'.

Tom was driven through the picturesque Petts Wood surrounded by his best friends, family and his fellow bandmates before getting cremated.

His The Wanted bandmates Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes and Jay McGuiness were the pallbearers.

The entire order of service revealed the late star's funeral will include readings from the bible and hymns.

After he passed away, a source told The Sun that he was surrounded by his family, friends and bandmates from The Wanted during his final moments, with the group left "devasted" by his loss.

It was also reported that he chose to play the Oasis song Live Forever as he passed away surrounded by his loved ones, according to the publication at the end of last month.

The outlet stated that during his last moments the father-of-two had the 1994 track playing out loud, with a source commenting on the significance of the song choice.

The source revealed: "You might have thought Tom would opt for something by The Wanted but Oasis' Live Forever sums him up perfectly - he was a rockstar."

They said that it was how "he wants to be remembered," adding that the track is a "real anthem to strength and defiance," with some of the lyrics speaking to his experience.

The source further commented: "Like the track says, Tom really will live forever in his children, his fans and his music."

Kelsey confirmed Tom's sad passing on Wednesday 30 March 2022, writing on Instagram : "Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence."

Tom received the devastating brain tumour diagnosis while his wife Kelsey was pregnant with their second child.

The Bolton-born singer and Kelsey got married in 2018, after meeting in a nightclub in 2009, and they welcomed daughter Aurelia in 2019.

The happy couple found out in May 2020 they were expecting their second child together, with little Bodhi born later that year.
