Tom Davies has spoken for the first time since it was confirmed that he was leaving Everton after rejecting the offer of a new contract.
Davies came through the Academy ranks at Goodison Park after joining the club at the age of 11 and went on to score seven goals in 179 games. However, the 24-year-old has made just six Premier League starts across the past two seasons.
The midfielder was offered a new deal by the Blues, but after rejecting that offer, he will now depart when his contract expires at the end of this month. The reason behind Davies’ decision is believed to be his desire to play regular first-team football.
