Tom Curran's controversial Big Bash League season cut short due to injury

NEW DELHI: England all-rounder Tom Curran's eventful stint in the Big Bash League (BBL) with the Sydney Sixers has come to an abrupt end due to a knee injury. Curran sustained the injury during the Sixers' clash against the Melbourne Stars last Saturday.

The Sydney Sixers issued an official statement, stating, "Sydney Sixers international recruit Tom Curran has been ruled out for the remainder of the KFC BBL|13 season, sustaining a knee injury in the Sixers' last match against the Melbourne Stars on Saturday." The extent of the injury is currently unknown, and Curran will return to England for further assessments.
