Following the expected departure of Bill Belichick from his coaching duties with the New England Patriots, the best player he ever coached has paid tribute to the future Hall of Famer.
Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady congratulated Belichick on social media after news broke of his exit, thanking him for the time they spent together in New England.
“I’m incredibly grateful to have played for the best coach in the history of the NFL,” Brady wrote. “He was a great leader for the organization, and for all of the players who played for him. We accomplished some amazing things over a long period of time, many of which will be hard to replicate. he worked every day to help us achieve the ultimate goal, in the ultimate team sport.”
The Brady/Belichick combo will always be the most famous pairing of a quarterback and a coach, with six Super Bowls to show for it.
Brady’s sentiments match how you would expect the quarterback to feel about his time in the NFL with Belichick and the appreciation he has for all that the duo accomplished together.
