Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are reportedly considering divorce, amid speculation that the couple have experienced "marital issues" in recent months.
There's said to have been arguments over the American football player, 45, deciding to unretire from his sporting career, which reportedly upset model Gisele, 42.
Tom - who has been married to Gisele since 2009 - retired in February this year but returned to training for the NFL the following month.
It's now been suggested that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, may have inspired Tom to return to American football, after he saw the striker excelling late in his career.
The Sun reports that his decision came shortly after Cristiano rolled back the years with a hat-trick for Manchester United during their game at Old Trafford in March.
As previously reported, Tom had attended the match and he even got a chance to speak with Cristiano on the pitch, where Tom hinted about reversing his retirement decision.
It was just hours later - on March 13 - that Tom announced he was coming out of retirement, and has since returned to play for NFL team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He tweeted: "These past two months I've realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it's not now. [...] I'm coming back for my 23rd season".
The decision is said to have 'infuriated' Gisele, who had wanted her husband to quit the sport for good and devote more time to his family.
The couple reportedly had an "epic row" over his sporting return and are said to be living in separate homes, with the relationship having attracted much attention recently.
She expressed an interest in Tom being "more present" during an interview with Elle magazine recently, though she added that it's important for him to be happy too.
