There will come a day when both Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are no longer playing in the NFL.
While Brady’s days as a starting quarterback appear to finally be over, he’s hoping Rodgers hangs in there a bit longer.
On his Let’s Go! podcast, Brady says that the level of quarterback play in the NFL is proof that it’s not time for Rodgers to close his illustrious career.
“You know what, I hope he doesn’t retire,” Brady said during the podcast (via USA Today). “I think the league needs good quarterbacks and he’s one of the greats. If he retires, it’ll be a sad day for the league. He’s an incredible player.”

Rodgers is going on a very peculiar darkness retreat to contemplate his future, which Brady also defended Rodgers taking.
“Everyone has their different processes they go through,” Brady said of Rodgers’ decision. “And you know what, I think we all need to get off our phone a little bit more. I think we all need to get away from the TV a little bit more. I think we all need a little more nature and a little more silence and a little more peace.
“However he’s going about it, good for him. Everyone’s got their unique way to process the season. It’s very intense for all of us, and everyone gets to choose what they want to do.”
Well, to each his own, as they say. Brady and Rodgers are two birds of a feather for a variety of reasons, and it seems like game respects game, no matter how strange or annoying that game is.
