The daily grind of the NFL can take a toll on a player’s health, physically and mentally. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has generally expressed his passion for football during games, ranging from joy to frustration.
During his appearance on The Pivot podcast, Tom Brady spoke about today’s top quarterbacks. He mentioned Mahomes as a favorite because of his enjoyment while playing the game.
“When I see these young players, I see like Patrick (Mahomes) out there at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun,” said Brady. “I’m like, ‘I used to be like that. What the hell happened?’
The @Patriots run during the @TomBrady & Bill Belichick era was the most dominant in the game. That sort of dominance doesn’t come without iron sharpening iron. Some of that has to do with the pads talking at practice, & some with sh*t 💩 talking!

Brady thrived in the strict New England Patriots system, barely expressing his fun side until after winning Super Bowls.
“I just got too serious, but, again, I can only look back and think,” said Brady. “Okay, if I do it again, which I’ll never do again, I would be different.” But the reality is, you can’t.”
Mahomes continues to add Super Bowls to his resume, hoping to catch the illustrious seven that Brady secured in his legendary career. The reigning Super Bowl MVP appears to have a leg up on the football legend regarding fun on the field.
